The Story

One pot for the guest, one for the household. They were never separated.

01Origin & making

Asir, Saudi Arabia, Mid 20th century. Shaped by a working tradesman for a working household, and repaired rather than replaced. Materials: Brass and copper.

02The life of the object

Tinned copper, retinned at least three times — a service that a coppersmith performed each year before Ramadan. Both bases carry the same workshop punch.
