01Origin & making
Najd, Saudi Arabia, Mid 20th century. Cast, chased and assembled by a village silversmith who worked to weight rather than to drawing. Materials: Sterling silver.
02The life of the object
Hollow-cast and hallmarked, filled with small shot so each step announced itself. One anklet rings a semitone lower than the other — deliberate, so the pair sounded as a chord.
03The journey to Arajiz
From a Buraidah silver dealer's reserve stock, 2019. Offered through Bait Al-Fidha in Unaizah. Our specialists examined material, tooling marks and repair history, and a full condition report accompanies the lot.
