Najd, Saudi Arabia, Early 20th century. Struck from hand-cut dies on a hammered flan, each strike slightly its own. Materials: Gold and silver alloy.

1370 AH first issue, struck for the oil-concession settlements before general circulation. Fields are prooflike; this example never entered daily use.
